Settings
Settings allow workspace admins to configure how Runsheet works for your team. Access settings from the sidebar navigation.
Who Can Access Settings?
Settings access depends on your workspace role:
- Owners — Full access to all settings, can delete workspace
- Admins — Can manage teams, members, and cycles
- Members — View-only access to settings
Workspace Settings
Configure basic workspace information:
- Name — Your workspace display name
- Slug — The URL-friendly identifier for your workspace
- Visibility — Whether all members can see all objectives (default: yes)
- Check-in cadence — Weekly, biweekly, or monthly
Cycles
Cycles are time periods for your OKRs. Most teams use quarterly cycles.
Cycle Types
- Quarter — Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 (most common)
- Month — January, February, etc.
- Week — For fast-moving teams
- Custom — Define your own date ranges
Cycle Statuses
- Planning — Draft cycle, objectives being defined
- Active — Current cycle, work in progress
- Completed — Cycle ended, objectives finalized
- Archived — Historical cycle, hidden from most views
Teams
Manage your team structure from Settings → Teams. See the Teams help page for details.
- Create, edit, and delete teams
- Set up team hierarchy (parent/child relationships)
- Add and remove team members
- Assign team leads
Members
Manage workspace membership from Settings → Members, or use the quick access "Invite and manage members" option in the workspace dropdown menu.
Inviting Members
- Email invites — Send invitations directly to email addresses. Enter multiple emails separated by commas to invite a group at once.
- Invite link — Create a shareable link for anyone to join. Useful for large teams or public invitations.
- Team assignment — Optionally assign new members to a team during the invite process.
Domain-Based Joining
Allow colleagues to join automatically based on their email domain:
- Enable "Domain-based joining" in Workspace Settings
- Enter your company domain (e.g., "acme.com")
- Anyone with a matching email can join without an invite
Managing Roles
Change a member's role from the member list:
- Promote members to Admin for settings access
- Demote admins back to Member
- Transfer ownership (Owner only)
Removing Members
Admins can remove members from the workspace. Their objectives will remain but can be reassigned to other owners.
Check-in Cadence
Set how often team members should update their Key Results:
- Weekly — Most common, good for fast-moving teams
- Biweekly — Less overhead, still regular updates
- Monthly — For longer cycles or slower-moving goals
This setting affects reminders and the "stale" indicator on the Dashboard.
